Boys Summer Running

RETURN TO TRAIN SUMMER 2020 INFORMATION

The program is intended to give all HPHS athletes the best opportunity to “Return to Train” and be ready to safely begin what we hope will be a more normal summer camp schedule in July. The program will be conducted by HPHS coaches with assistance from a strength and conditioning professional. All health and safety guidelines established by the IHSA, CDC and State of Illinois will be followed.

 

Summer running will focus on the development of individuals cardiovascular endurance in preparation for the upcoming cross country season. It is open to all levels of runners from beginners to the advanced. The program will guide participants to be the best runners they can through individualized training programs, guidance with nutritional needs, strength development, injury prevention and much more. Summer Running is strongly recommended for anyone planning to be on the cross country team in the fall. “Goal oriented people find a way.”
